The Isle of Wight (affectionately titled The Island by locals) has a long history of being a favourite, if somewhat old-fashioned, holiday destination but there is much more to this special place. While being well-known for traditional seaside breaks there is a whole host of alternative, exciting and often unusual activities to pursue, and not all of them will break the bank.
